Seven Summits, Seven Swims Fundraising Event

  • Gambier Island, starting at Ekins Point (map)

25 km BIG ISLAND TRANS-GAMBIER TREK

The Big Island Trans Gambier Trek is a 25 km route from the northern tip of Cha7élkwnech/Gambier Island at Ekins Point to the southernmost end of Gambier at Hope Point. As anybody who has hiked on this island knows, Gambier’s topography is lumpy, steep and very rugged, where the shortest distance between two points is rarely a straight line.

The route will be a combination of free range, flagged and beaten sections with somple gravel road in places. There are seven notable summits and seven swims along the way that will provide restful pauses enroute.

This Seven Summit, Seven Swim day trip will challenge our two Conservancy directors, Peter Snell and Tim Turner, who will be prepared for a long and strenuous day. Please support their efforts with a generous pledge that will raise money for the good work of the Gambier Island Conservancy.

DONATE HERE, to support Peter and Tim as they complete Seven Summits Seven Swims
