Mt. Artban

Difficulty: Moderate to high

About: Trails to the peak of Mt Artaban can be accessed from the public docks at Camp Fircom, Halkett Bay Marine Park  or Camp Artaban.  As can be seen on the trail map, getting to the main trails up the north and south side of the mountain requires hiking on some public roads. Most of the north side of the mountain, including the peak, lies within the Mount Artaban Nature Reserve.

Time: The approximate hiking time to the peak from Camp Fircom is 2 hours and 2.5 to 3 hours from the other docks.

Markers: red on the north side and white and orange on the south side

Remember - stay on the trail, do not enter private property and keep your dog on a leash in the Marine Park and the nature reserve.

Facilities: No campsites. Pack in and pack out.

Features: A spectacular view of Howe Sound from the peak and a small pond just below the peak.
