Muskeg Lake Trail

Difficulty: Moderate

About: Except for the last short section, the route to Muskeg Lake follows the Gambier Lake trail, so the first part of the  hike from New Brighton is on public roads. Thereafter, the Gambier Lake trail passes through a commercial woodlot before reaching the junction with the last short section of trail to Muskeg Lake.

Time: The approximate hiking time to the lake from the public dock at New Brighton is 1.5 hours.

Markers: Green on the Gambier Lake trail with no markers on the short section of trail from the junction to Muskeg Lake.

Remember - Stay on the trail, do not enter private property and, due the possibility of encountering wolves, it is recommended to  keep your dog on a leash..

Facilities: No campsites. Pack in and pack out.
